Managing Principal

Commander Herman is the Managing Principal of CB Design Group's Bethlehem, PA office.  As an architect with more than 20 years of experience and an officer in the U.S. Naval Reserves, he brings a great deal of knowledge and leadership to firm.  Commander Herman is committed to excellence in every aspect of serving his country, his community and his clients.

Commander Herman is responsible for managing the operations of the Pennsylvania office which can offer the full capabilities of CB Design Group.  His experience in Health Care, Educational, Military and other Institutional projects enhances the knowlege base of the firm and expands the ability of CB Design Group to provide professional architectural services in the northern region of the east coast.

Ken Jones, AIA, LEED AP

Vice President / Director of Architecture

Mr. Jones has 25 years of experience in the design and management of complex institutional projects with construction values up to $100M. Projects include government, military, academic, libraries, laboratories, office buildings and secure facilities.  He has helped accomplish projects through CM, GC and Design-Build delivery methods.  

Mr. Jones is responsible for overseeing the design and production process at CB Design Group.  He is committed to collaborating with clients to learn and understand their unique internal processes in an effort to guide the development of design solutions that support the organization's mission.  

Matthew P. Gachi 

Director of Business Operations  

Mr. Gachi is responsible for advising the leadership of CB Design Group on various operatoins of the firm that are not technical in nature. A graduate of The Pennsylvania State University‚Äôs Smeal College of Business, he proudly served as both an enlisted sailor and an officer in the United States Naval Reserves.  He completed deployments in support of both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom where he served as the supply officer for a Naval Mobile Construction Battalion forward deployed in Afghanistan.  Mr. Gachi completed the Navy's supply and logistics school as its honor graduate in 2008.  His job in the Navy was to understand and coordinate the business aspects of warfare.  He currently holds the Certified Financial Planner(r) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary(r) designations. 

Paul Wesley Bridges, AIA, NCARB 

LCDR, CEC, USN

President / CEO

Lieutenant Commander Bridges is the majority owner and corporate president of CB Design Group, Inc and is responsible for all management decisions that impact the firm.  As an architect with 20 years of experience and a U.S. Naval Reserve Officer, he is committed to providing excellent service to his clients, his community and his country.  

Lieutenant Commander Bridges holds the distinction of being Dual Warfare Qualified, having served in Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom and Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom.  He is still active in the Naval Reserves and is currently serving as the Executive Officer for NMCB 14.  He is a skilled architect with a vision toward creating functional and inspiring projects for federal, state and local public agencies.
